Was shopping for a bladder that can last and not cause any issues. Originally was going to buy a camalbak but lots of people on the reviews didnt like them and suggested source. All in all its a good buy. I've only used it a handful of times so far so ill see as time goes on how tough it is. Does fit nicely into the 5.11 rush12 backpack too.
I use the Source reservoir in a bag designed for rucking. The bladder has no taste and I find I clean it less often than previous brands I had tried. The quick release valves on the tube and mouthpiece make cleaning them a breeze. It has held up well despite the fact it shares room with steel plates carried for training purposes. I would order another one if this one ever wears out.
This bladder is perfect for a smaller pouch that would fit on the back of a plate carrier. It’s also great for a backpack. The material is very strong but also very light. The seams are well made and sealed. I recommend this product!
I'm really so satisfied with my WXP 2L valve hydration system. Easy to refuel and also to dry out after use. No bad plastic smell or other kind of bad smell. I recommend it for multiple uses. Thks to Source for your great products!
I recently was searching for which tactical hydration pack would be the best out there regardless the cost. Everyone was pointing to Camelbak. I was going to buy one when I read on some message boards about Source. There is a reason so many countries are switching to them. What a quality product and half the price. How can you beat that.
I love Source for its technology, easy clean and durability. Dont buy based on brand name, buy quality, buy Source.
My first one had to be tuned with Sugru in the lid. Since then no worries. Very long lifetime, low maintenance and it lets you know when it is time to replace, won't suddenly burst in your pack or on your back. Never a strange smell or flavour. The pouches are also worth mentioning, never had to repair one. 1l, 3l, & 5l bladders are in daily use at our treeclimbing business. More water for everyone and no danger of cracking heads with falling bottles.
I have been using this for about a year without issue and in fact, have purchased 3 more for rest of my family. This bladder is industrial strength and easy to clean. Works great in the summer and fall in the northeastern US. I use the Tube Insulator from Source Outdoor in the winter as the tube/ bite valve freezes in very cold winter conditions here. Recently purchased the Universal Tube Adapter (UTA) that I plan to pare with a Katadyn BeFree water filter hydrapak to conveniently refill the bladder without having to remove it from my pack.
Source make the best quality bladder systems I've seen, much, much better than anything I can get here in New Zealand. This model is good value and tough, and I expect to get a lot of use out of it. Customer service is also good, and even shipping from the other side of the world, this is great value for money.
